Mr Imad Amer is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) / Head and Neck surgeon working in East Sussex. His scope of practice includes adult and paediatric general ENT (otolaryngology) as well as benign and diagnostic malignant head and neck surgery. This includes sinuses, skin lesions, salivary, thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

Mr Amer is an ENT Surgeon at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, at the Conquest and Eastbourne Hospitals.

Mr Amer’s primary medical qualification was at Damascus University – Faculty of Medicine, Syria. He started his specialist ENT training in London and it was completed in Brighton. Mr Amer undertook specialist ENT training including Head and Neck surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery at Bart’s and the Royal London, St Mary’s, Hammersmith, Charing Cross and University Sussex hospitals.

Mr Amer is committed to providing the best possible care and outcomes for his patients. Mr Amer achieves this by listening carefully to his patients’ concerns and involving them in the decision-making process regarding their treatment. He also works closely with Consultant colleagues at the University Sussex Hospitals Head & Neck and Thyroid/Parathyroid Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), providing initial diagnostic assessments and surgical procedures.

Mr Amer can provide a clinic based *procedures; including ear microsuction, nasal cautery, nasal endoscopy, throat endoscopy and hearing test, in addition to the operating theatre based surgical procedures at the excellent facilities available at Sussex Premier Health.
